Accelerating Progress Towards a ‘made in Canada’ Open Banking Solution

Canada’s premier payments event, the 2022 Payments Canada SUMMIT, returned with the industry’s leading thought starters, visionaries and disruptors to discuss and debate issues central to the evolution of modern payments from April 26-28 in Toronto. 

Symcor’s Head of Product Development and Innovation, Saba Shariff, spoke on day 1 of the SUMMIT with fellow leaders from RBC, TD, Drop Technologies, and Gowling WLG about accelerating progress towards a ‘made in Canada’ open banking solution.

This panel explored the key actions that can advance open banking in Canada, identified concerns from ecosystem stakeholders and discussed how a ‘made in Canada’ approach should differ from other regions that have implemented open banking.
